Guesty Guest Screening: 10 Integrations

Thirteen Guesty Marketplace tiles say guest verification. Five run a criminal check. What each integration checks, writes back into the reservation, and requires in 2026.

Ten Guesty guest screening integrations ranked by how deep each check goes

Thirteen Guesty Marketplace tiles say guest verification or guest screening. Read each vendor's own pages. Five publish a criminal or sex offender database check. Guesty's own GuestVerify add-on makes six. Its criminal search runs in the United States only. The other eight collect an ID, match a face, or score a phone number. Same two words on every tile.

Guesty guest screening integrations in 2026, ranked here by depth of check, split three ways: Authenticate, Autohost, Safely, SecureStay and Truvi publish criminal or sex offender checks; Chekin and Duve publish document and face verification; Enso Connect and SafeGuest publish ID collection or resold screening. By Guesty's pages, GuestVerify covers identity worldwide. Its criminal search is United States only.

This page covers Guesty only. Guesty's pages, its help center, and each vendor's own site were read on September 23, 2026. Its help center blocks automated readers. So its articles came through Guesty's public help-center API, each with the date it was last updated. No integration was connected to a test account. One of the ten, Authenticate, wrote this page.

Does Guesty verify guests without an integration?

Guesty sells guest verification without a marketplace integration as GuestVerify, a paid add-on on Lite, Pro and Enterprise. Guesty's feature page, read September 23, 2026, describes three checks: ID validity, a selfie match to the ID, and a criminal database search including sex offender registries. GuestVerify Basic runs worldwide. Extended carries the criminal search. It is United States only.

A September 2026 comparison on this site said Guesty's pages named no criminal check. They do name one. According to Guesty's guest verification feature page, read September 23, 2026, "a Criminal Background Check searches relevant criminal databases, including sex offender registries." The setup article behind it was last updated on August 10, 2026. The earlier line does not survive a second read.

The help center is where the shape gets specific. According to Guesty's GuestVerify setup guide, updated August 10, 2026, it "verifies the main guest in the reservation," and only the main guest. It depends on the Guest App. You pick Strict or Lenient, set an age floor, and choose channels. Guesty's own FAQ suggests "excluding Airbnb bookings" where Airbnb is the merchant of record. Repeat guests are re-verified every time, "because we check the specific document provided for every stay."

Two details matter when you read results at 11pm. Per Guesty's GuestVerify statuses article, updated August 2, 2026, you are notified only on "Failed" or "Partially passed". Passes and pendings are silent. When a guest's photo fails and they upload again, "a new screening will be billed." The risk score runs 0 to 500, with 350 and above marked Risky.

The pages also leave things out. No GuestVerify page names a vendor. Guesty's September 2023 AU10TIX partnership release never mentions GuestVerify. No page publishes a per-screening price. The tiers carry two sets of names: "Basic" and "Extended" in the FAQ, "Verification essentials" and "All-inclusive verification" in the setup guide.

Guesty Shield sits in the same menu. Guesty's articles file GuestVerify under it, next to two protection tools. Those two do a different job. Screen & Protect screens "using their email address or phone number" and provides "coverage for damages". Damage Protection "is available for properties in the United States and Mexico" and describes no screening step. Neither article mentions an ID check.

How deep does each Guesty guest screening integration go?

Guesty guest screening integrations reach four depths. Rung one checks signals: email, phone, device, booking behavior, or a watchlist alone. Rung two collects an ID document. Rung three validates the document and matches a selfie. Rung four searches a criminal or sex offender database the vendor runs itself. Any country named for that search is the United States.

The rung is the ranking. Each vendor's own check list sets it. One practical thing follows: whether the person at your door has been compared to a records database, or only to their own photograph. The wider market of platforms outside Guesty is ranked a different way in the top guest screening platforms comparison.

This page stays inside the Guesty account.

The reading list behind these ten

Inclusion took two facts: a live Guesty Marketplace tile or a Guesty add-on, and a published claim to verify or screen guests. Thirteen tiles say it. Duve's does not, but its help center does, so Duve is here on that basis. Alertify, Charge Automation and Linkbase publish too little to place on a rung. Happy Guest and SuiteOp treat verification as a feature inside a larger check-in product.

Entries group by rung, Guesty's add-on first as the baseline, the rest alphabetical. The order carries no score. Neither does the alphabet. Every figure keeps the vendor's unit and the page it came from. No affiliate links, no paid placement, no vendor contacted.

Two provenance gaps. Duve's site refused automated reading, so its entry rests on indexed excerpts of its own articles. SecureStay and SafeGuest publish thin Guesty tiles, so their entries lean on their homepages and Guesty's help center.

Which Guesty integrations run a criminal background check?

Six Guesty guest screening options run a criminal or sex offender database check themselves, by their own pages as of September 23, 2026. One is Guesty's own add-on, GuestVerify Extended, United States only. Five come from the Marketplace: Authenticate, Autohost, Safely, SecureStay, and Truvi with its paid add-ons. Every other tile collects, validates or scores. No records search runs.

GuestVerify (Guesty native)

The baseline is Guesty's own add-on. It deserves the same reading as everything below it. In its own words, GuestVerify runs "ID Verification," then "Identity Verification" to confirm the guest matches the document, then "a Criminal Background Check" against databases "including sex offender registries." Basic is "available worldwide." Extended, the tier with the criminal search, "is currently limited to the United States." A risk score covers phone number, address and IP blacklist status. Three levels, one add-on.

You activate it under Integrations, then Guesty add-ons, with no partner account. Three limits sit in its own help center. It verifies the main guest only. It needs the Guest App check-in form to collect its inputs. It re-verifies returning guests on every booking. Strict or Lenient is a setting you pick at activation. An age floor can decline guests automatically, per the same setup guide, updated August 10, 2026.

Guesty says it is "exploring options to recognize returning guests in future updates."

Best for: hosts who want screening inside the Guesty menu with nothing else to configure. What it publishes: the three levels above; worldwide versus US availability; a 0 to 500 risk scale; notifications only on Failed or Partially passed. Certification: none named on the pages read. Worth asking: which databases sit behind "relevant criminal databases," and what one Extended screening costs. Integration and pricing: native add-on on Lite, Pro and Enterprise; per-screening billing implied by "a new screening will be billed"; no price published.

Authenticate

The disclosure comes first: Authenticate wrote this page. Authenticate is an identity verification and background check platform. This row gets the same reading as the nine around it.

The Guesty connection is documented end to end in Authenticate's setup guide for the Guesty integration. You connect from the Marketplace and paste the API key into the Authenticate portal. Your listings import into brands. Each brand carries one Medallion™ workflow, one set of pass criteria and one theme. A default brand covers every listing with "zero initial configuration." No setup per listing.

When a reservation is created, a verification link lands in the AuthenticatingVerifyURL custom field. Guesty's Authenticating.com help article, updated August 2, 2026, says it appears "within a minute or two" and "irrespective of its status." You send it with a Guesty message automation. The automation decides who gets the link, and when.

The guest opens the link. Authenticate verifies the document and selfie in 30 seconds, against 7,500+ government ID types from 203 countries in 38 languages, its published figures as of September 2026. That part is worldwide. Optional checks in this flow add a 7-year criminal record check, an authoritative database match and a global watchlist search. Guesty's listing notes that sex offender registry checks are available too; Authenticate's registry data covers 600,000+ records across all 50 states, US territories and tribal lands. Guesty's own article states the limit: a valid non-US ID is verified, and "we don't support any additional checks for these IDs."

Results return as one yes/no field, AuthenticatingVerificationPassed, set against your pass criteria, with per-check status fields and a message in the Guesty inbox. A failed field triggers the next automation.

That is the whole loop.

Best for: operators who want identity and a criminal record check written into the reservation and left under their own automations. What it publishes: 30-second verification; 7,500+ ID types, 203 countries, 38 languages; a 7-year criminal record check; the custom-field list above. Certification: SOC 2 Type II; iBeta Level 2 liveness (ISO/IEC 30107-3, which covers presentation attacks only). Worth asking: which databases sit behind the 7-year criminal record check, and what a non-US guest's result contains when no additional checks run. Integration and pricing: Guesty, Hostaway, Lodgify, OwnerRez, Hostfully, SuiteOp, or the API; pay-as-you-go with no monthly commitment and no long-term contract, with a published per-check rate card.

Autohost

"Guesty users must have a Guesty for Pros account to use the Autohost integration." That line from Autohost's own guide is the first gate. The second gate is human. Guesty's own article tells new users to contact Autohost sales before connecting. Autohost's guide then has an Account Manager send the connection link. Once live, Autohost's go-live guide, read September 23, 2026, says "any new reservations will automatically flow into 'active' listings," with its test guide putting the sync at "1-3 minutes" on average. The sync is minutes, not hours. Reservations that already exist at go-live can be screened, approved in bulk, or split by a cutoff date, per the same go-live guide.

The guest goes through Autohost's portal. Three custom fields come back to the reservation: AHP_GUEST_PORTAL_COMPLETED, AHP_RISK_COLOR in Green, Yellow, Orange or Red, and AHP_AUTOHOST_VERIFIED_STATUS. Messaging runs through Stargate, an email relay. Guesty's Autohost article says check-in instructions go out "once the guest has been verified by Autohost." Autohost's site publishes the longest check list of the ten pages read. Count them: ID verification, liveness, biometric matching, sex offender registry, criminal background, global watchlist, adverse media, eviction history and credit history, across tiers you choose. You pick the tier.

The decision stays with your team. Autohost describes "Declined" as "a manual status, meaning the guest has been declined by a member of your team." It adds that "it's your responsibility to cancel the reservation through the booking channel/source itself."

Best for: Pro or Enterprise operators who want screening depth as tiers and a risk color in every reservation. What it publishes: the tier menu; the three custom fields; the 1-3 minute sync; the Pros-only requirement. Certification: SOC 2 (AICPA), GDPR Ready, CCPA. Worth asking: which of the tiers the Guesty connection switches on, and whether the criminal tier runs outside the United States. Integration and pricing: Guesty for Pros only; per verification with volume tiers plus a platform fee; Guesty pricing through the account manager.

Safely

At Safely, screening and the damage waiver share one connection. The waiver comes first. Guesty's article describes the order: you connect for the Damage Waiver, and "at this stage, you will be able to include guest verifications." The waiver then applies to every listing, charged at check-in. The same article puts its billing on your monthly Guesty invoice under its own line. Four custom fields follow: safely_policy_info, safely_claims_info, safely_verification_status and safely_verification_info. Guesty's Safely article, updated August 2, 2026, says "it may take up to 24 hours" for them to appear.

Screening is the gate into the coverage.

Safely's screening page names its sources: "county & court records, national & criminal databases," sex offender lists, "Europol, Interpol" and other international watchlists, plus SafelyScore, its proprietary database of bad stays. The inputs are a name, an address and a date of birth. No ID or selfie step appears there. If automatic screening is on, guests with an email address receive a message from Safely Concierge "after the reservation populates from the PMS." The guest can ignore it. Safely states that it "does not require guests to complete a screening. It is up to you, the management company, to set the expectation."

Its integrations page is specific about plans. "Safely integrates with Guesty Pro & Enterprise." Lite is not mentioned.

Best for: Pro or Enterprise managers who want the screening and the payout path from one vendor, per reservation. What it publishes: the source list; the four custom fields; the 24-hour window; the plan requirement. Certification: none named on the pages read. Worth asking: what happens to coverage when a guest ignores the screening email, and which jurisdictions sit behind "county & court records." Integration and pricing: Guesty Pro and Enterprise; per screening standalone, or per night bundled with the waiver.

SecureStay

Thin Guesty tile, full check list. SecureStay publishes a rung-four list across a handful of pages. The list is plain. Its site says it will "validate your guest's ID document and match it with a selfie," "search sex offender databases using the guest's personal information," and run "background checks." It then promises to "send or hold back check-in instructions depending on SecureStay's verification status." Guesty's article sums the product up as one that lets you "verify guest identification, send rental agreements, and collect fees and deposits all in one platform." The guest signs, pays and uploads a photo ID in the same pass. One pass, several jobs.

Guesty's SecureStay article, updated July 31, 2026, makes the onboarding concrete and manual. You copy the API key, which "is valid for 4 hours only," and email it to SecureStay with your company details, your preferred language, the area for a virtual phone number, and which features to switch on: "ID verification, Background checks and/or sex offender checks." Their team completes the setup from there. No self-serve path here.

Best for: hosts who want ID, agreement, deposit and a database check gated in front of the door code. What it publishes: the check list above; conditional check-in delivery; a per-booking price on its site. Certification: none named on the pages read. Worth asking: which databases the background check searches, and whether the sex offender search covers guests outside the United States. Integration and pricing: Guesty Marketplace, onboarding by email; per booking.

Truvi

Truvi was Superhog until the rebrand. The Guesty search result for its tile still says so. The base product, Screening, "runs automatically on every booking": watchlist, email and phone deliverability, disposability. No ID. No criminal search. That is rung one. Each deeper check is sold separately. The guest has to act on it.

Truvi's pages, read September 23, 2026, describe ID Verification as a real-time selfie and ID photo with a date-of-birth check. They also say it "does not include a check for the validity of the ID itself." The Criminal Background Check, in the same pages, searches "2400+ national and federal criminal databases in the United States," "does not include state and county databases," and looks back seven years. Federal and national only, no counties. It needs a US address and consent. The Sex Offender Check runs against the US national registry, per the same source. Billing follows the month of check-in, per Truvi's guest screening services page.

Three custom fields reach Guesty: TruviScreeningComplete, which flips to Yes when the guest finishes; TruviProtected, which turns Yes "only if the host has opted for Protection in Truvi and the Truvi approves the guest"; and TruviVerificationURL, the guest-facing link, spelled "TuviVerificationURL" in Guesty's article. Read the second one twice.

Truvi's homepage leads on "Stop problem guests and costly damage" and orders its products screening, then damage protection, then claims. Screening is listed first. Damage protection is host-configured up to a published per-stay limit.

Best for: hosts buying damage protection first, who will add ID or criminal checks one line at a time. What it publishes: the add-on structure; the 2,400+ database figure and its state-and-county exclusion; the three custom fields. Certification: PCI DSS, GDPR. Worth asking: whether a quoted per-booking rate is base Screening alone or includes the ID and criminal add-ons, and whether the ID add-on validates the document. Integration and pricing: Guesty Marketplace; pay per booking, billed in the month of check-in; the pricing page returned 404 on the read date.

Which Guesty guest screening integrations verify ID without a criminal check?

Chekin and Duve verify the document and the face inside Guesty. Neither names a criminal check. Chekin reads the document by OCR and MRZ, then matches a selfie with liveness prompts. Duve scans the passport MRZ during online check-in and sells Selfie Match as an add-on. No criminal, watchlist or sex offender search appears on either vendor's pages.

Chekin

Chekin's product is the traveler report.

Where the law makes you register every guest, verification means reading the document well enough to file it. That is the whole promise on Chekin's pages. Its Guesty article states "reservations are synced in real time," with a check-in form going out automatically. The guest's document is read by OCR and MRZ, then matched to a selfie "in under 7 seconds," with active liveness prompts to blink or turn. Coverage is published, as of September 2026, as 150+ countries and 2,500+ document templates, with authority reporting in 45+ countries. It reads the document, not a record.

The write-back is spelled out field by field. Per its Guesty article, Chekin returns a registration-link field, an all-guests-registered field, guest data into booking notes, and the lead guest's document number, nationality and date of birth into the Guesty guest profile.

Four destinations, one connection.

The same article says it reads access codes from Guesty for self check-in. Compliance is the job. No criminal or watchlist search appears anywhere on its pages.

Best for: hosts in authority-reporting markets who need the police report filed and the ID face-matched. What it publishes: the OCR, MRZ, selfie and liveness steps; 150+ countries; 2,500+ templates; the custom-field and profile write-back. Certification: GDPR compliant. Worth asking: where biometric data is stored, and how the all-guests-registered field behaves when one guest in the party never completes the form. Integration and pricing: Guesty Marketplace; per property per month in tiers, identity verification as a per-verification add-on, protection fees separate.

Duve

Guest experience is Duve's product. Verification is one step of its online check-in.

Its help center describes an MRZ scan that validates the passport during check-in, and a Selfie Match add-on that compares a live selfie to the uploaded document. The add-on is priced per active unit per month. Selfie Match is the paid part. Its Guesty article describes the connection as two-way: Duve imports reservations, sends the pre-check-in details to reservation notes, and updates the email and phone number the guest typed. Verification status, it says, can condition scheduled messages. Selfie capture fires automatically after four seconds. No criminal, watchlist or sex offender check appears in any indexed article.

One caveat carries this entry. Duve's site and help center refused automated reading on September 23, 2026. Every fact above comes from indexed excerpts of its own articles, not a full page read.

Best for: operators who already run online check-in through Duve and want a passport scan and selfie match inside it. What it publishes: the MRZ scan; the Selfie Match add-on and its per-unit pricing unit; the notes and contact-field sync. Certification: none surfaced in the excerpts read. Worth asking: what the MRZ scan validates beyond parsing the line, and whether every guest or only the lead guest is matched. Integration and pricing: Guesty Marketplace, two-way; subscription plus a per-active-unit add-on.

Which Guesty integrations collect the ID or resell the check?

Enso Connect and SafeGuest publish ID collection rather than a check of their own. Neither names a database. Enso Connect collects ID front, back and selfie free with every plan, then resells verification tiers from Autohost, Truvi and Chekin. SafeGuest runs a biometric ID check and a Green, Yellow or Red risk rating, free for hosts.

Enso Connect

The freshest page here carries a date. Enso Connect's Guesty integration page reads "Published: September 22, 2026." It describes a "webhook-powered" sync, "both ways," updating "in 1 to 15 seconds." On plans it is explicit: "Enso Connect supports both Guesty for Pros and Guesty for Hosts." Both plans, not just Pros. ID front, back and selfie collection is "free with every plan (collection only)."

The verification itself is bought in. Enso's feature page, read September 23, 2026, names the suppliers: Autohost for screening AI and fraud detection, Chekin for authority reporting, and Truvi. They sit across Screen, Verify and Safeguard tiers, with sanctions and sex offender searches in the top tier. The depth sits in the top tier.

Its Guesty page does not name them. Channel rules are published as examples: skip ID checks on Airbnb, step up for last-minute direct bookings, collection only on Booking.com. Deposits, its pages say, are held up to 30 days and auto-renew, with a one-click chargeback evidence report.

Best for: Guesty for Hosts operators who want ID collection at no charge and will buy the deeper check through Enso's suppliers. What it publishes: the webhook sync and its 1 to 15 second figure; both-plan support; the supplier names on its feature page; a guarantee to generate the subscription cost or continue free. Certification: none named on the pages read. Worth asking: which supplier runs which tier on your account, and where the guest's ID lives across the parties. Integration and pricing: Guesty for Pros and Hosts; subscription scaling with listing count.

SafeGuest

Free, and the guest pays. That is the model. SafeGuest's tile promises "free guest screening with ID checks, signed terms, deposit or waiver collection, and risk scoring." Its site describes ID and biometric verification "on every booking" and a Green, Yellow or Red rating "in seconds." The rating is the whole output. The site's example briefing cites lead time and local proximity. Its launch release adds payment validation and stay history.

The money runs the other way here. Damage deposits are collected and refunded, or a no-deposit fee is charged instead. Deductions and disputes are handled up to the deposit limit, its site says. The release says SafeGuest "gives hosts a choice" between the two. Its tile calls the screening "free for hosts." Who carries the no-deposit fee is not stated on any page read.

Its launch release on GlobeNewswire, dated London, June 24, 2025, says the tool "integrates directly into leading property management systems such as Guesty and Hostfully" and that SafeGuest "has already completed over 100,000 guest verifications." Its site, read September 23, 2026, says 500,000+ bookings processed. Guesty is listed as live. No criminal, sex offender or watchlist check is named anywhere. SafeGuest Protect, the paid tier, describes its payments as "discretionary" and states that it is "not insurance."

Best for: hosts who want a deposit or waiver collected with a fast traffic-light read, at no host cost. What it publishes: the rating factors; "free for hosts"; the discretionary-payments statement; its live PMS list. Certification: none named; its site says its GDPR position was "reviewed by UK data-protection counsel." Worth asking: what happens when a guest declines both the deposit and the waiver, and what the biometric check validates the ID against. Integration and pricing: Guesty Marketplace; free for hosts, guest-paid deposit or waiver, optional Protect tier per booking.

What does each Guesty guest screening integration write back into Guesty?

Guesty guest screening integrations return results through reservation custom fields, reservation notes, the Guesty inbox, or held check-in messages. Eight of ten document one; Enso Connect and SafeGuest publish no write-back field. None documents a reservation tag or an auto-cancel. That step stays with you and the booking channel. As of September 2026, timing runs from seconds to 24 hours.

That is what the rung table hides. A rung-four check landing 24 hours later, in a field nobody built an automation on, protects less than a rung-three check that holds the door code.

Your automation reads a field name. Nothing else.

One mechanic is shared by every marketplace partner. It shapes your calendar. Guesty's Marketplace overview for Lite, updated May 7, 2026, says a partner API key "expires 4 hours after being generated," so the connection is a single sitting, not a project you leave open.

Frequently asked questions

Does Guesty do background checks on guests?

Guesty offers a criminal background check on guests through GuestVerify Extended, its paid add-on. Guesty's feature page says it "searches relevant criminal databases, including sex offender registries," and Guesty's GuestVerify FAQ, updated August 10, 2026, says it is "currently limited to the United States." GuestVerify Basic, worldwide, stops at ID and selfie. Both verify the main guest only, through the Guest App check-in form.

How much does GuestVerify cost?

GuestVerify is not free. Guesty publishes no price for it. Guesty's pricing page lists GuestVerify as an add-on on Lite, Pro and Enterprise. Guesty's help center says a repeat upload after a failed photo means "a new screening will be billed." That points to per-screening charges. Ask your Guesty representative for the Extended tier's per-screening rate before you compare it to a marketplace app.

Do Guesty guest screening integrations work on Guesty Lite?

Guesty guest screening integrations work on Guesty Lite only where the vendor says so. Autohost requires "a Guesty for Pros account," Safely names "Guesty Pro & Enterprise," and Enso Connect supports "both Guesty for Pros and Guesty for Hosts," Hosts being Lite's former name. Guesty's pricing page limits Lite to "Select integrations." Authenticate, Truvi, Chekin, SecureStay, Duve and SafeGuest publish no plan requirement, so confirm before connecting.

What happens in Guesty when a guest fails screening?

A failed guest screening in Guesty changes a field, not the booking. Authenticate sets its pass field to no and posts to the inbox. Autohost moves the status to Review and writes a risk color. GuestVerify shows Failed and notifies you, one of two statuses that do. None of the ten Guesty integrations compared here publishes an auto-cancel. In Autohost's words, "it's your responsibility to cancel the reservation through the booking channel/source itself."

Does Guesty Shield screen guests?

Guesty Shield's protection tools screen without an identity check, per Guesty's help center as of September 2026. Its Screen & Protect plan screens guests "using their email address or phone number" and provides "coverage for damages." Guesty Damage Protection "is available for properties in the United States and Mexico" and describes no screening step. Identity checks come from GuestVerify, filed under the same Shield menu, or from a marketplace integration.

How do you connect Authenticate to Guesty?

You connect Authenticate to Guesty in three steps. In Guesty, open Integrations, then Marketplace, click the Authenticating.com tile and Connect to copy an API key that expires in four hours. In the Authenticate portal, open the Guesty integration page, paste the key and turn it on. Set pass criteria and optional checks per brand, then add a Guesty message automation that sends the AuthenticatingVerifyURL field to new guests.

Open your last ten reservations

This week, open your last ten Guesty reservations and read the Extra information panel on each. If no screening field, note or GuestVerify section is populated, nothing wrote a result to that reservation, whatever your marketplace shows as connected. If a field is there, ask which rung produced it. A face matched to a photograph is a real check. A records search is a different one. Your automation is waiting on one of them. Know which one before the next door code goes out.
